spoke at this session entitled "Building a Personal Health
Information Infrastructure Within the NHII: The Role of Personal
Health Records and Other eHealth Applications". This program
is designed to focus on opportunities to strengthen the ability
of consumers and patients to participate more fully in managing
their health and health care through the national health information
infrastructure. Speakers described research, programs, and policies
that target the personal health dimension of the NHII, including
the Personal Health Record.
